The Miami guy finally had looked inconsistently good with probably the best wr in the league (and pretty bad when the receiver has been out with injury). The other Bama qbs in recent decades have looked consistently bad. Mccarron and macelroy come to mind.
It takes Lawrence one game out from injury, or getting yanked in a blowout, paired with one good game from Jones and it could all come back. Remember Mariota/ Tannehill, or Tannehill/Levis?
